
KLUNGKUNG , mybalinews.com – A foreign tourist from Romania, Sebastian Arbus, was trapped in a landslide on the cliff of Segara Kidul Temple, in Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, Bali, on Thursday (9/1) afternoon.
Cakra Negara as the Coordinator of Nusa Penida Search and Rescue Alert Unit said that initially the foreign citizen was going to the spring there.
“But suddenly he heard a rumbling sound and suddenly the side of the cliff that he had previously passed collapsed,” Cakra said.

After the incident, he shouted for help, and coincidentally an eyewitness passed by using a speedboat in the waters of Manta Point, Nusa Penida.
“A passing speedboat saw and tried to approach and provide assistance, but because of the large waves it was too risky for him to swim,” he added.
As they could not evacuate, the speedboat contacted the Nusa Penida Search and Rescue Alert Unit and the team immediately moved to the location. The Search and Rescue team hava also coordinated with the local police.
At least 12 personnel from Nusa Penida Police arrived first and together with residents immediately carried out the evacuation using ropes.
“The foreigner finally was successfully evacuated at around 5.15 p.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA) in a safe condition and was able to return to his hotel,” he said. (mybalinews/KAD)
