DENPASAR, mybalinews.com – Foreign tourist visiting Bali are expected to stay longer and enjoy their vacation on the resort island.

Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Agency Tjokorda Bagus Pemayun said that Bali tourism in 2025 was expected not only get more foreign tourist, but also get longer length of stay.

“We want the average length of stay to be longer, so that they will also spends more money,” Pemayun said .

He added that foreign tourist visits to Bali in 2024 was quite good, as it is exceeded the target. However, he also hoped foreign tourists who can enjoy their vacation in Bali longer.

The average length of stay of foreign tourists in Bali has indeed, he added, begun to decline compared to the 1990s, when foreign tourists could vacation to Bali for two to three weeks.

“Nowadays, the average was about only 7 to 12 days. The reason, of course, is because of destination competition and the influence of the global economy. Also the influence of world geopolitics,” he said.

At least 6.3 million foreign tourists have visited Bali in 2024, exceed the target set by the government. Number of foreign tourist visits to Bali Island from January 2024 to December 29, 2024, was recorded at 6.3 million people. The Bali Tourism Agency initially only targeted 5.5 million to 6 million foreign tourists in 2024.
