BADUNG, Mybalinews.com – The Denpasar Immigration Detention Center has again deported foreigner from Bali. A Russian woman has been deported after disrupting Nyepi silence day and overstaying.
The Russian woman, identified as MB, first arrived in Indonesia on August 14, 2023 using Visa on Arrival (VoA). Acting Head of Denpasar Immigration Detention Center, Albertus Widiatmoko, said that MB have bad behave during her stay in Bali.
While living in Bali, MB has involved in a violation of public order that disrupted the celebration of Nyepi Caka 1946 on March 11, 2024 in the South Kuta area.

The 51 year old woman who claimed to work as an online consultant, was also known to have exceeded the 122-day stay limit after her last visa expired on November 10, 2023.
“MB told Immigration officer that she did not report her overstay period because she was unaware of the obligation,” Widiatmoko said.
After being examined by the Ngurah Rai Immigration Intelligence and Security Division, MB was charged with violating Article 78 Paragraph (3) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration and was finally transferred to the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center for the deportation process.
Widiatmoko stated that this deportation action was part of the intensive efforts of the Immigration Office to enforce law and order in Bali.
“The violations committed by MB is an example that there is no tolerance for violations of immigration laws,” said Widiatmoko.
Based on regulation, MB will also be included in the black list and is banned o enter Indonesia in certain period.
“As regulated in Article 102 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, deterrence can be imposed for up to six months and can be extended, and lifetime deterrence can be applied to foreigners who threaten public security and order. The final decision regarding deterrence will be made by the Directorate General of Immigration after considering aspects of the case,” concluded Widiatmoko
Head of the Bali Law and Human Right Agency Pramella Yunidar Pasaribu emphasized that the foreigners supervision team will continue to increase supervision of the presence of foreign nationals in Bali.
“Bali must remain a safe and comfortable place for all parties, and we will not tolerate those who break the law,” Pramella said. ( mybalinews/RLS/ERV)
