DENPASAR, mybalinews.com – Acting Governor S.M. Mahendra Jaya has requested support from the central government to address traffic congestion issues in Bali.
He made this statement while attending a coordination meeting on optimizing airport services held at the Novotel Hotel, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, on Thursday (23/1).
Mahendra Jaya emphasized that transportation management still needs continuous improvement. One of the key initiatives is the proposed construction of a Bali Subway, which is currently in the phase of route determination.
The subway is seen as a solution because widening the roads on land is challenging due to the dense residential areas. He hopes that the proposal will be approved soon by the Ministry of Transportation, allowing the Bali Subway project to move on to the next phase.
