
DENPASAR, mybalinews.com – The Denpasar Immigration has warned foreigners living and visiting Bali to always obey the regulation in Indonesia.
The Immigration will strengthening supervision to foreigners to ensuring that foreign nationals in the area comply with applicable regulations and do not violate the provisions that have been set.
“This supervision and enforcement are not only aimed at enforcing the law, but also to maintain the security and safety of the community, and to ensure that all activities carried out by foreign nationals in Indonesia remain in accordance with the provisions that have been set,” said Ridha Sah Putra as Head of the Denpasar Immigration Office, Bali, in a statement on Thursday.

In 2024, the Denpasar Immigration Office recorded more than 138 cases of immigration violations. This number has increased compared to only 104 cases in 2023.
“Among the total case, 15 cases are related to online prostitution. This is a special concern for monitoring similar modes.” Ridha said.
In addition to online prostitution, there were also 6 cases of fraud (scamming), 64 cases of overstaying (exceeding the period of stay permit granted), 2 cases of not reporting changes in civil status, assault, disturbing public order to robbery, and 60 cases of misuse of stay permits.
Meanwhile, immigration action includes various steps taken against foreign nationals who are proven to have violated regulations, such as overstaying (exceeding the period of stay permit), working without permission, or carrying out activities that are not in accordance with the purpose of the visa granted, as well as online prostitution.
Statistics show an increase in the number of administrative and legal actions against immigration violations, although there are fluctuations depending on the dynamics that arise. In terms of enforcement, the Denpasar Immigration Office takes steps in accordance with the authority granted by laws and regulations.
The actions taken include examinations of immigration administrative violations, investigations of foreign nationals suspected of violating provisions, and firm action in the form of deportation or sanctions in accordance with applicable laws. (mybalinews/ERV)
