DENPASAR, mybalinews.com – Bali Police Chief Insp. Gen. Daniel Adityajaya have met Ukrainian Embassy for Indonesia Vasyl Hamianin on Tuesday (12/24) at Bali Police headquarter in Denpasar.

The meeting was part of the Ambassador official visit to Bali.

The meeting was held to establish a relationship and discuss about the security and comfort of foreign tourists, especially Ukrainian, in Bali.

“I hope to be able to help each other in carrying out the duties of the Police in Bali, as well as in the field of tourism. I hope that this Christmas and New Year can run smoothly with security from the Bali Police,” the ambassador said.

Regarding the cooperation plan expected from the Ukrainian Embassy to Indonesia, he said that the Ukrainian Police has a special unit to handle kidnapping cases in Ukraine considering that the cases are quite high. In addition, the Ukrainian Police also has a special unit in handling terrorism in Ukraine.

“I hope that the planned cooperation between the Indonesian and Bali Police can share knowledge and expertise with each other to eradicate the crimes of kidnapping and terrorism that are currently rampant,” the ambassador hoped.

Bali Police Chief appreciated the statement, saying Bali Police are very open to mingling with all parties, especially for the security of the community and the state.

“We from the Police, especially the Bali Police, will continue to work together with all parties in maintaining the security and comfort of the community and tourists in Bali,” Daniel emphasized.

Regarding security ahead of the 2024 Christmas celebrations and the 2025 New Year in Bali, which is a tourist destination that is already famous abroad. The general, who graduated from Police Academy in 1991, said that the duties of the Bali Regional Police are very complex considering that there are also many foreign citizen in Bali.

“We are currently facing Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 holiday season. It is very much needed to detect any vulnerabilities that may occur early,” he said, adding that intelligence unit have work on it.

At the meeting, Daniel also explained that the Indonesian National Police has a working unit, namely the Directorate of Vital Object Security, which is tasked with carrying out security of vital objects which include security of certain areas, VVIP/VIP, tourism, and security of national and international scopes within its authority.

At the end of the audience, a session was held to exchange souvenirs and books by the Bali Police Chief with the Ukrainian Ambassador. ( mybalinews/RLS/ERV)
