DENPASAR , mybalinews.com – At least 6.3 million foreign tourist have visited Bali in 2024, exceed the target set by the government, official said.
Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Agency Tjokorda Bagus Pemayun said the number of foreign tourist visits to Bali Island from January 2024 to December 29, 2024, was recorded at 6.3 million people. The Bali Tourism Agency initially only targeted 5.5 million to 6 million foreign tourists in 2024.
The total tourist arrival in 2024 have also exceeded the foreign tourist visits before the Covid-19 Pandemic, which only reached 6.2 million.

“Exceeding the target. It’s even exceed the number of tourist arrival before Covid,” Pemayun said.
Pemayun said that the data was only collected until 29 December 2024. “I haven’t received the data for December 30 and 31, 2024,” he said.
He added that the tourist arrival during the Christmas and New Year have also increase between 15 to 20 percent compared to the holiday season last year.
“If we look at the data, there is indeed an increase of 15 to 20 percent compared to 2023,” he added.
Australian are still dominated the number of tourist arrival, following by Indian, Chinese, and British.
The agency has set another target for 2025. The target of tourist arrival in 2025 was set to 6 million to 6.5 million foreign tourists. Pemayun said he was optimistic that the target could be reached as Bali Island is still favorite destination for foreign tourists.
“The target in 2025 is 6 to 6.5 million. Bali is still become tourist’s favorite destination of tourists. Bali is still popular. The most searched on Google is Bali,” he said. ( mybalinews/KAD/ERV)
