KSM, who has Indonesian wife, was arrested at Puri Penida Hostel in Nusa Penida, Bali.

“Based on data and evidence gathered in the field, this person, based on public reports, was renting out motorbikes. Because there were indications of misuse of their residence permit, the team took him to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further questioning,” he added.

KSM have admitted his act, saying that he had rented out three to four motorbikes per day to other foreign nationals at IDR 150,000 per day.

“Every day, there are three or four motorbikes he rents out to foreign nationals. The rent per day is around IDR 150,000 per motorbike. On average, he rents out three to four motorbikes per day,” Ridha explained.

Meanwhile, this British national holds a visitor visa valid until February 11, 2025, and he conducted his business by advertising motorbike rentals on social media for the Nusa Penida area.

“He misused his stay permit by advertising and renting out motorbikes to foreign nationals who are vacationing in Bali,” he said.

Ridha emphasized that even though the British national is married to an Indonesian citizen, he does not hold a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) for family unification. Therefore, his actions are considered illegal, as he only holds a visitor visa for vacation in Bali.

“Indeed, this British national is married to an Indonesian citizen, but he is using a visitor visa.
