BADUNG, Mybalinews.com – A Tanzanian woman have been deported after she was allegedly faking investment in the resort island of Bali.
The Tanzanian, identified as SDM, has been proven misused her visa as investor on the island.
Acting Head of Denpasar Immigration Detention Center, Albertus Widiatmoko, said in a statement of Saturday (28/12) that SDM have violated article 75 paragraph (1) of the Immigration Law because she used a fictitious company to obtain a residence permit.

SDM first came to Indonesia in February 2024 with a 211 visit visa. “She later changed her status to an Investment Stay Permit (KITAS),” Widiatmoko said.
Although she claimed to have invested in a company called PT SPS, SDM could not provide clear information regarding the investment.
Widiatmoko added that SDM also failed to mention the amount of investment, the location of the company, or even the number of employees working there.
The discrepancy between the information provided by SDM and the facts found in the field, as well as the suspicion that the company she mentioned might not exist, made the Immigration authorities follow up on this case seriously.

The final decision regarding deterrence will be made by the Directorate General of Immigration after considering aspects of the case,” concluded Widiatmoko
Head of the Bali Law and Human Right Agency Pramella Yunidar Pasaribu emphasized that the foreigner supervision team will continue to increase supervision of the presence of foreign nationals in Bali.
