DENPASAR, mybalinews.com – The Denpasar City archery team is ensuring full preparation for the 2025 Bali Provincial Sports Week (Porprov).
Not only is the physical aspect of the athletes well-prepared, but the psychological aspects are also a major concern.
Putra Fajar, Acting Chairman of the Denpasar City Indonesian Archery Association (Perpani), emphasized that his team is collaborating with the Denpasar Branch of the Indonesian Hypnosis Community Association (PKHI) to provide Hypnosport training to the athletes.
“We have had positive experiences with the Hypnosport approach. One such athlete is Perpani Denpasar athlete, RM. Gusti Fazli Kertinegoro, who is currently playing for the 2025 SEA Games National Training Center. He has been using this technique for a long time, and the results are proven,” said Putra Fajar, who is also known as a Master Hypnotist.
He further explained that psychological calm plays a crucial role in determining victory.
“The athlete’s composure determines up to 80 percent of victory on the field. During the Training Center (TC), the stress levels of athletes, coaches, and even team managers increase. If not managed, the entire preparation can fall apart,” he stressed.
Similarly, Dewa Ayu Raka Sunari, Chair of the Denpasar City Branch of the Indonesian Archery Association, stated that her organization has issued official assignments for four hypnotists to assist the Denpasar archery team.
“This is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to contributing to sporting achievements. The target, of course, is to win maximum medals at the Bali Provincial Games (Porprov),” she said.
Dewa Ayu added that this collaboration could open the door to broader collaboration with other sports under the Denpasar KONI (Indonesian Sports Association).
“Furthermore, the Chair of the Denpasar Perpani (Indonesian Sports Association) is himself a hypnotist who fully understands the benefits, so this synergy will be even easier to forge,” she concluded.
With through preparation, both physically and mentally, the Denpasar City archery team is optimistic about achieving outstanding results at the 2025 Bali Provincial Games. (mybalinews/RLS)
