GIANYAR, mybalinews.com – Government has officially shut down PARQ Ubud, popularly known as ‘Russian Village on Monday (20/1).

The place that called themselves as ‘the city of the future’ has been closed due to violation of some regulation.

The Gianyar Regency Administration closed PARQ Ubud that become favorite place for many Russian tourists and expats on Jl. Sriwedari, Tegallalang, Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Bali.

The closure was carried out because PARQ Ubud violated several Regional Regulations (Perda) of Gianyar Regency, and also based on the Decree of the Gianyar Regent Number 285/E-09/HK/2025.

“In the decision, the owner and or person in charge of the business is also asked to close their business,” said the Assistant for General Administration of the Gianyar Regency Administration, I Ketut Pasek Lanang Sadia, in a statement on Tuesday (21/1).

To enforce the regional regulation or the regent’s decision, Gianyar Regent issued a Gianyar Regent’s Order Number 300/0189/POLDAM to I Made Watha as the Head of the Gianyar Regency Fire and Rescue Civil Service Police Unit to supervise and secure the implementation of the Gianyar Regent’s decision regarding the termination of business activities and the closure of the PARQ Ubud business premises.

The termination of business activities and the closure of the PARQ Ubud business premises, because it does not comply with the provisions of Article 19, Paragraph 3 of the Gianyar Regency Regional Regulation Number 15 of 2015, concerning public order and public tranquility and the Gianyar Regency Regional Regulation, Number 2 of 2022 concerning the implementation of risk-based licensing.

Pasek Lanang Sadia emphasized that the closure action was based on existing laws, especially the Gianyar Regency regional regulations.

“The closure was carried out in accordance with the Law and regional regulations of Gianyar Regency, and has gone through several stages,” he said. (mybalinews/KAD)
