DENPASAR– The Ubud Food Festival (UFF) 2025 made a vibrant return at the end of May, bringing with it an exciting highlight: the use of CIMB Niaga’s digital banking app, OCTO Mobile.
“This is my first time trying the app—it’s quite impressive,” said Fatima Gita Elhasni, one of the event attendees, during an interview on July 17.
In addition to its convenience, particularly with its QRIS scanning feature for seamless payments, OCTO Mobile offered an attractive cashback promotion of up to 50% for customers using OCTO Pay during the event.
“It’s definitely more cost-effective,” she said.
One standout feature of the app is its donation and sharing function, which supports child nutrition and stunting prevention campaigns as part of CIMB Niaga’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
“For young people like me, donating through this method feels much more practical and accountable,” she explained.
About OCTO Mobile
Launched in 2020, OCTO Mobile is CIMB Niaga’s next-generation mobile banking app. It evolved from the earlier Go Mobile app, reflecting the bank’s transition from traditional mobile banking to a more integrated digital banking platform.
Designed as a Super App, OCTO Mobile offers a wide range of features that enable customers to manage their financial activities with ease and engagement.
“As a pioneer in digital banking in Indonesia, CIMB Niaga continues to innovate by offering cutting-edge banking products and services,” said Lani Darmawan, Director of Consumer Banking at CIMB Niaga, in a statement published on CIMBNiaga.co.id.
With OCTO Mobile, customers can now carry out a variety of banking transactions that previously required a visit to a branch. These include investing, opening mutual fund accounts, and making payments using four funding sources: Mobile Accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, and Poin Xtra, all via an intuitive smartphone interface.
Customers can also open their first savings account online, apply for unsecured credit (KTA) if invited, open a time deposit, and make transfers with a daily limit of up to IDR 500 million.
For those who need to withdraw or deposit cash, the Cardless feature enables transactions at all CIMB Niaga ATMs and CDMs, without needing a physical card.
Additionally, online and offline shopping is made easier through the app’s QR payment and Virtual Card Number (VCN) features.( mybalinews/IST)
