DENPASAR, mybalinews.com – A landslide occurred on Jl. Ken Dedes, Ubung Kaja Village, North Denpasar, Denpasar, on Monday (20/1). The incident happened at around 7.30 a.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA).
I Nyoman Sidakarya, Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, stated that there were 8 people at the location. Three victims have been safely evacuated with injuries, and three people have been found dead. Meanwhile, two other victims are allegedly still missing.
“According to witnesses, there are two others allegedly still buried. The search and rescue team are still working to find the two missing,” said I Nyoman Sidakarya, Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Agency on Monday (20/1).

Sidakarya mentioned that the information received by the Denpasar Search and Rescue Agency’s alert team at 8.30 a.m. WITA. Following up the information, the agency immediately mobilized personnel.
The survivors who were injured were immediately taken to Surya Husada Hospital in Denpasar for medical treatment.
“In the search effort, the joint SAR team first cleared the debris from the building,” he added.
The victims at the time of the incident were inside their boarding rooms, and next to them was a cleaning or landscaping project.
“There are three boarding rooms buried here. This area is also prone to disasters. As of now, the search efforts with the help of heavy machinery, such as excavators, are still ongoing,” he explained.
