BADUNG, mybalinews.com – South Kuta Police have arrested a Russian man for motorcycle theft.
The suspect initially VS stole a Honda Beat motorcycle on November 16, 2024, near Honeymoon Beach, Jl. Pura Tegal Wangi, Jimbaran, South Kuta, Badung, Bali.
“The suspect was involved in the theft of a Honda Beat motorcycle that occurred on November 16, 2024, near Honeymoon Beach,” said South Kuta Police Chief, Comr. I Gusti Ngurah Yudistira, on Thursday (16/1).

The suspect was apprehended at a villa in the Ungasan area of Kuta Selatan, Badung, Bali, after committing the motorcycle theft.
Police said that the victim had left their motorcycle with the key in the dashboard while taking selfies at the beach, which was only about 10 meters from the parking spot. After taking the photos, the victim returned to find the motorcycle has missing.
New Year Holiday
During interrogation, the suspect admitted to stealing the motorcycle because he wanted a vehicle to use for a joyride during the New Year’s holiday.
The South Kuta Police chief said that the Police Criminal Investigation Unit has transferred the suspect to the Badung Public Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday (15/1). The transfer followed the completion of the dossier, which was declared complete (P21) by the prosecutor’s office. Along with the suspect, the police also handed over the stolen motorcycle as evidence.
“We have handed over the suspect along with the evidence to the Badung Prosecutor’s Office. With the completed file, we hope the trial process can begin soon,” he said.
The police emphasized their commitment to maintaining security in the Kuta Selatan area, particularly in tourist spots that are often targets of criminal activity. “We urge the public, including tourists, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately,” Yudistira emphasized.
