BADUNG, mybalinews.com – The Bali Police have arrested two Russian for allegedly involve in international prostitute syndicate in Bali.
The two Russian have allegedly deployed sex workers with rates set range from 300 to 350 USD or around IDR 4.8 million to IDR 5.6 million.
The two suspects are identified as AK (27) and MT (32). AK known as the pimp, meanwhile MT as manager.
Bali Police chief Insp. Gen. Daniel Adityajaya said that the russians has offered sex workers from hundreds of countries and dozens of cities in Indonesia, including Bali.
They were arrested on Friday (10/1) at around 3.22 a.m. Central Indonesia Time (WITA) at a hotel in Jl. Pantai Berawa, Canggu, North Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.

“The suspect offered several choices of sex workers from various parts of the world, including several cities in Indonesia to customers via a website,” Daniel Adityajaya said in a press conference at the Badung Police, Bali, Monday (13/1).
This prostitution case was uncovered, starting from information about prostitution on a website. Then, based on that information, the Badung Police conducted further investigation.
Furthermore, officers conducted an investigation among the Russian foreign national community and obtained information about an order for prostitution by a Russian foreign national that occurred at a hotel in the Canggu area.
The team carried out investigation on Friday (10/1) at around 3.22 a. m. WITA and immediately arrested two Russian identified as DK who were customers and a woman with the initials EK, as sex worker.
Following the arrest of the two foreign nationals, the police conducted a raid on a villa located in Banjar Kelod, North Kuta, Badung Regency, and arrested two Russian foreign nationals AK and MT who were suspected of being pimps and controllers of prostitution practices.
After that, it was discovered that they were pimps of an international network and carried out their operations from a website they created.
“lt’s an international network. Therefore, its operations use cyberspace. So it can be accessed by all countries, including in Indonesia. There are 12 cities in Indonesia. The prostitution website is already connected and can be accessed in 129 countries in the world,” he added. ( mybalinews/ KAD/ ERV )
