DENPASAR , mybalinews.com – The Bali Provincial Narcotics Agency (BNN) has successfully apprehended a Russian national whose initials are EK, for allegedly selling various narcotics on the island, including hashish and cocaine.
He was arrested after receiving drugs through mail package.
The Head of Eradication at the Bali Provincial BNN, Sr. Comr. Pol. Made Sinar Subawa, explained that the suspect’s modus operandi involved receiving narcotics through the postal service.

He would then break down the drugs and distribute them using a geo-tagging system.
“The suspect acted as a distributor. He often received cash payments, which were placed in a location previously sent to him via Telegram. Aside from cash, he also received cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin and USDT,” said Subawa in a press conference at the Bali BNN office in Denpasar, Monday (23/12).
The Russian man was arrested on Monday (16/12) at around 4 pm Central Indonesia Time (WITA) by the Agency officers on Jalan Raya Uluwatu, Jimbaran, South Kuta. From the suspect, also found a package of 223,15 grams hasish.
Further investigation at the suspect’s rented room in Jimbaran led to the discovery of additional evidence including 24 plastic clips containing hashish, 10 plastic clips containing marijuana, 5 plastic clips containing psilocybin mushrooms, 36 plastic clips containing mephedrone, 1 plastic clip containing methamphetamine, 1 plastic clip containing cocaine, 2 plastic clips containing MDMA, 3 digital scales, and various drug paraphernalia.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed that the illicit drugs was sent from Thailand.
“Based on the suspect’s confession, these items were ordered from Thailand. The person who placed the order was not the suspect. According to his statement, the suspect merely received directives or orders from his boss,” Subawa added. (mybalinews/KAD/ANG)
